| Harris war einer der Gründungsdirektoren der ''International Association of Bioethics'' und ist Gründungsmitglied des Vorstands der Zeitschrift ''[[WikipediaEN:Bioethics (journal)|Bioethics]]'' und Mitglied des Editorial Board des ''[[WikipediaEN:Cambridge Quarterly of Healthcare Ethics|Cambridge Quarterly of Healthcare Ethics]]''. Er ist auch Mit-Chefredakteur der Zeitschrift Journal of Medical Ethics.
